The love I lost

As time drifts softly by, I miss you more than words can cry. An emptiness, vast and deep, starts to creep. I smile and laugh, the world sees light, But behind my smile, rests endless night. My heart, In every tear still beats for you, Though you have gone beyond my sight, Your memory lingers on, day and night. The love I lost, forever stays— A silent ache throughout my days.
