Mother of cold

She snaps Blood on her teeth, eyes wild Mother of the mother that hurt her own child . The steel grows more quickly than softness (An Ill fitting coat softness is) And as steel becomes steel that spreads blood on the snow That softness crawls in with the cold . And scrambling fingers scrape down into soil And the heat of her blood like the sun Planting the seed of mercy and need Sprouting the spring that has sprung . And mother stands watching, her mouth full of teeth She only bites when she's afraid The sun burns too brightly, don't bask in that warmth Keep those cold bones in the shade
