December

December, December We had plans for December... dates and places, people and faces. I miss the man I was when we were together. I miss the warm nights. I miss the chocolates hidden in cracks. The sea touches me but cannot wash the memory of your face. and my memories flow with only my features to trace. The wind passes but cannot lift the weight of my love. Now I stand alone in dark alleys and dry coves, I’m tired of missing you. I’ve reached my end. As the year winds down, I make my peace. I loved, and loving you confirmed to me that I exist.
