A FALLEN STAR

I am now a fallen star.

Don’t look at me

and wish I were

still up in your sky.

There are plenty

of stars out there.

Look for the one

bright enough—

the one that will

shine so brilliantly

that its light removes

all the darkness

forever from your sky.
