Appetites

by elizabeth-kelly

The wandering mind seeks and betrays hidden blushing curiosities sat primly at the water’s edge, glass dome catching and narrowing the fragments of bright halo sun. Patches of pink, red nourished, protected under careful microscope focus, heat in the near dark slick hothouse ripeness mingle kaleidoscopic. My thighs tingle. Mysteries here unseen by my naked eyes heavy lidded in moon-blue starkness but soft I know, in truth and fantasy hazy rose gold oasis delicious, graceful hungry rising. Part, then, my pet appetites. Sing and sigh in the gentle focus perfection of neverwhere, my secret frenzy, devouring and devoured, Unknown and untamed. Alight between my god-given rights, pounding, molten, rarest sweetest electric pink dream I will pour you onto me, wind you around my fingers, a concerto spontaneous. Glowing, flowing bright coloratura from the heart of the fruit. Then fade the faceless muse, her purity and my depravity until, as worn out shoes on dancing feet in a future brimming darkness, we chance again to meet.
