Glutton For Punishment

You take a bond, A bond built with blood, Sweat, Tears and all. You take that bond, And you reach battle, But the battle isn’t with them, It’s with you. Bonds are always broken, Through words too outspoken, The demon inside of you manifests, Because you always need to win. Then loneliness sets in, And you’re left to ponder, Is it them or you, With conflict do you conjure? Friends come, Friends always go, Friends, friends, the friends that you know, Will never be savored, rather captive in your woes, Because of me, they’re always on their toes.
