keepsake

by jwdcody

i have created a shadow in the shape of your presence for i feel the horizon calling you so i have made myself a keepsake formed of our blue-soul clay that i will curl into my pulse when your swirling currents pull your tides into the distance and expose our cracked-heart canyons but know my mountain roots run deep and i will be here when you return my rivers pulsing their glacial blood your name forever intoned by the beating of my volcanic heart
