California

by madelynannette

The water sparkles on the shore Waves crashing while we talk Finding shells along our walk Ones that we adore The sand pleasantly burning our bare feet Seeing people we’re happy to greet Beholden to be in the presence Of light, laughter and love My best friend’s eyes glittering like the tide We’re content for today, enjoying the ride We adventure, no one hurries Our skin slightly red No regrets, sadness or worries Summer days ahead
