I have a nickel in my pocket for every time you said
no, not this time
period
take it back to another period
and spend your time spending money you don't have
none of us have the heart to say no so the sun
but the moon is a constant reminder
of the remnants of what we are
and we were
what we could be
could be a penny thrown in a fountain
where we make wishes to a God
we said goodbye to
long ago
