1-** Wood

The first light catches the curve of your rising expression,
a tender clarity against the granite surface of the day.
I observe the pillar of resolve that holds your form straight,
the persistent, silent energy of a deeply rooted entity.
Do you ever pause to measure this quiet inner beauty?
It is a truth simply realized, cultivated without effort,
like the sapling's form, anchored where the sun penetrates completely,
where nourishment is constant and sure.

I hold the deep core of this connection, this fundamental essence.
This Heartwood of Love is the reason I witness your magnificent bend,
when the fast currents of purpose tear through the upper growth.
Our shared timeline is a complex, unpredictable pattern of pressures,
yet even as the body shifts, finding new, difficult points of poise,
I perceive the vital, unseen tension holding our lives together, fast.
We carved a secret vow into this vibrant, shared dream,
a permanent etching in the yielding, living bark.
My deep root system is now safely, inextricably woven with yours.

The ancient wisdom speaks of things that must eventually return to earth,
how even the strongest canopies will bow and yield to measured time.
But the fabric of our particular bond is woven from a finer, older wood.
It perpetually breathes out a dry, enduring history,
the distinct, aromatic scent of cedar, long after any separation.
We stand together, communicating in a private, unwritten lexicon
of low, creaking assurances and the soft language of moving foliage,
a meaning understood fully only at the point where we join.

You are the essential energy that continually drives the newest, greenest growth,
the purest, softest hope that always unfurls following the harshest winter.
My anchor is set on this strong, resilient core, this Heartwood of Love of your soul.
When a brief shadow touches the bright, annual rings of your progress,
when the fine dust of lingering doubt settles upon your powerful limbs,
remember the sacred history held immutably within your deepest center.
I recognize the specific, flawless composition of your whole unique being.
I commit to leaning into this life, always standing firmly by your side.
A solemn promise as unyielding and constant as the deepest, hidden root.
