When you'd nudge my blooming heart
Every bit of sunlight
Would become a petrifying flash
And every vermilion rose fades
Into dull, overlooked English ivys
Like birds signing behind iron bars
Like cats breaking free when you clutch to hard
Im terrified, that my silent begging
To cling to me hard and put me in jail
Is so,
I can slip away, tiptoeing in the night
And you won't have to see
That buried side of me
So your arms won't fall
And when you'll give me the keys
May our fingers brush
Before I fly away
Might it seem like a well thought scheme
But this, the way I seem to rule this dance
Might just be my greatest impediment
