Eyes fluttering, sleepy and broken
Shadows dance around me, I’m engulfed by darkness.
Chest rising, falling,
Vulnerable, but on the edge.
Cheeks flushed,
The moonlight casts a shadow on rising arms and legs.
Perfect movement to capture it all.
Dogs howl and bark, at this natural phenomenon.
Then silence.
A silence that bruises and softens me all at once.
