I held up red rose to smell with my nose
A velvety dense aroma arose

I walked to the park where the gardener grows
Sun, soil and wind; his nature he shows
He waters the garden, he sprinkles with hose
I sat on a bench where he prunes, weeds and mows
A tree full of life and a whole flock of crows

I noticed the plants all lined up in rows
I opened my book about to write prose
Tearful and heavy with so many woes...

A red breasted robin in bushes it goes
Kitty cat follows while striking a pose
Followed by me among thorns and each rose
I held up red rose to smell with my nose
A velvety dense aroma arose

I followed the scent to a statue and froze
The sky had not one but two large rainbows
More aesthetically pleasing than ribbons and bows
The beauty, the fragrance, a song to compose

I fell on my knees, touched her feet and her toes
The feet that crushed serpent can banish the crows
I prayed for myself and my sisters and bros
Reflecting on all of my highs and my lows
I pleaded with wonderful mystical rose
To ask Dear Lord Jesus to shoo off the crows
God’s daughter, spouse and mother; the rose
Said yes, yes, yes! There weren’t any no’s
I held up red rose to smell with my nose
A velvety dense aroma arose
