MOMENT

A moment, a pile of moments,
a time to take a pause.
In an afternoon overwhelmed by resources,
pending resources, appeals,
the cassations, defense briefs,
so much work piled on the table.
A moment to stop life,
to take a breath of air,
a moment to breathe and live.
While the work piles up,
a moment to stop life.
A moment for a break,
among the lives hanging over us,
in those September jobs.
