I’ve never been the kind of soul who wishes harm upon another.
Not even in my quietest pain.
I believe in letting go, in rising above, in leaving it to the heavens—
Because only God truly sees what lies in the heart.
But sometimes…
When the weight of betrayal grows too heavy,
And silence becomes my only shield,
I find myself whispering to the skies,
“Ya Allah, if I am wronged, then let justice be Yours.”

For years—nearly five—
I stood quietly in the shadows of your life.
Not asking to be seen, just hoping to be felt.
I offered encouragement when your spirit broke,
Cheered for you when no one else clapped,
And showed up, even when my own world was falling apart.

But one day, without warning,
I realized I had been erased.
Discarded like a name no longer worth remembering.
No reason, no goodbye—just silence where once there was light.
Still, I took the high road.

I reached out, seeking peace,
Apologizing if ever I had wronged you,
Even when my heart knew I hadn’t.
And only then did you “unblock” me—
As if that gesture could undo the ache.

But by then, something in me had changed.
Not in anger,
Not in bitterness—
But in a quiet surrender.
My heart had turned cold,
Not with hate, but with exhaustion.
So I walked away,
Not with curses, but with absence.

I no longer offered prayers for your success,
No longer lit candles of hope in your name.
And strangely, in this season,
Victory did not find you.

I don’t know exactly what I feel—
There is no joy in your loss,
But there is a strange kind of closure.
Because perhaps now you’ll learn:
That the most powerful prayers
Are not the loudest,
But the ones whispered in pain,
By a heart that loved purely and was hurt deeply.

And when that heart stops praying for you—
It leaves behind a silence even the heavens notice.
They say the most answered prayers
Are a mother’s… and the prayer of one who was sincerely wronged.
And I…
I was both sincere,
And wronged.
