We gaze upon the same night sky
though a thousand miles apart
and ask ourselves some questions
about matters of the heart.

Like the sky, my questions black and white
so the answers yes or no
but yours are wrapped in shades of grey
and your answers must be so

For two to be so close in kind
yet see things in different ways
bids a promise of excitement
not one of uneventful days

Then perhaps the timing of the question,
is the most important place to start.
So 'til we gaze upon the same night sky
but just a few inches apart...
