Eclipse of Grief
I orbit the day
like a dead star,
lightless,
remembering fire.
Grief is a slow eclipse
vanishing
by degrees.
Still, drifting forward,
trailing the dust
of what is lost.
The cosmos turns away
and the silence grieves alone.
