The effigy is burning,
Another broken banner of our times
These memories we’re earning,
They pass with no reflection from my mind

Does it feel so sharp? It’s from the bottom of my heart.
Does it feel so sharp? We’re at the bottom of my heart.

The earth and moon are flirting,
They’re twirling in a trepidatious way
The effigy is burning
The rock will crush us all at any day

Does it feel so sharp? We’re at the bottom of my heart.
Does it feel so sharp? It’s from the bottom of my heart.

The apple tree’s children are slowly fermented by the blaze
Our planet is honest and longs to rejoin the cosmic race

My heart is dented open,
It’s leaking out betrayals of its cage
The effigy is burning,
The rock should crush us all at any day

Does it feel so sharp? We’re at the bottom of my heart.
Does it feel so sharp? It’s from the bottom of my heart.
