Do you ever just sit back
and get lost in your thoughts-
Defend by the silence,
Deserted In the sound of your own voice

Lost in ur feelings
With no solution,
And no way out.

The screams get louder.
The bombs exploding.
A war commencing…
but no one hears it.

every breath echoing.
Times passing by.
But you’re frozen.

You can hear the laughter
of the people around you,
in front of you-
But it sounds like they’re 50 feet away.

They voices,
turned to white noise.

Nodding your head in conversation,
only “yes” and “no” for answers,
With a smile and a snicker…
But you’re not really in it.

Felling alienated.
Disconnected.
With no explanation.

You say your just tired,
But your emotionally exhausted.

Your just the quiet girl-
Well, that’s what they say.

Overwhelmed by guilt,
With no understanding of why.

Its silence, not peace
It Just listens like
you want to be heard.

Do you ever sit back
And wonder if anyone experiences
What you do?
Or if anyone…
notices?

I hear you.
I see you.
Not the “yes” and “no”
you answer me with,
or the nod you give me—
but the way your eyes wander around,
along the ground.

How you’re crowded in yourself.
Your screams are loud—
I hear them too.

You don’t need to speak loud
for me to hear you.
