What do you see when you go outside?

The sun in all of its glory.

Wanting to tell us it's story.

It shines so bright that no one can look directly at her.

And yet, it's light will shine and scatter.

Hitting us all with warmth and life,

Despite all the cold and strife.

We used to appease the gods of Sol,

So little now do we appreciate it at all.

It's beauty and rays, are what give resort,

To those who need the most support.

She has lived a life so great and strong

and yet who is there to hear her song,

But for a moment, while it may be brief,

There is a way it can share its grief,

The moon will always shine back her light,

Sharing in her eternal plight.

A moment comes, a moment goes.

The world looks up as it shows.

Aligning together, in sync but for a time,

As stories are shared, and laughter sublime,

Everyone looks up for a moment in whimsy and wisp,

At their most beautiful eclipse.
Brief though it may be, not the connection you want, it's still important to appreciate the moments you have with someone.
