Upon this rock I found an untrue home
Relinquished thought to lie in sonic arms
Awaiting at latchkey, the ice of a daiquiri drained of its flavor and goal
Branded at start line the heroes of our time are shining then ***** as gold

They all rocked and rolled
Rocked, then rolled away
Rock and rolled away

Upon this rock I found an untrue home
If one second stops the minute overloads
To saunter is brave, but to ponder is fake, it’s a stalling of ****** needs
Rumors of my “me” have driven to mud plains, and now sip the oldest of teas
In a nasal tone, painted lonely
An angel is cold, it overtakes and saves me

Let me rock and roll
Rock and roll away
Rock then roll away

The details of a blessed devotion,
it lifts my many yokes
To keep me hanging on, and up,
I won’t live to float

Let me rock and roll
Rock and roll away
Rock and roll away
Rock and roll away

Upon this rock I found an untrue home
Only one mantra successfully haunts us without self-perpetual poke
Among the receivers and dreamers of fever, to everyone else it’s a joke

Let ‘em rock and roll
Rock and roll away
Rock then roll away
