The cool breeze from the southwest Touches my face, raising goosebumps And I know what’s on its way. Dark clouds gather across the sky The royal monsoon returns To God’s Own Country !!
Monsoon and rain— A part of our life And our culture Send green waves across the land. Vigorous waterfalls roar louder With each drop of nectar from heaven !!
The dam Shutters lift Releasing a year’s worth of resources. Tourist spots bustle with visitors From near and afar And it's a good time For vendors along the trails !!
But then comes another face Of the monsoon- filled with cries pains, shivers, and silent agony Landslides, floods, and disasters That no words can truly capture !! Still, the monsoon remains An emotion for us An identity of us And it is one with us !!
