a black-eyed sea
……a wave of ice
a knotted mouth
……a killer’s vice
a candle’s blood
……a blind man’s palm
a twist of fate
……a beggar’s plate
a midnight sky
……an amber eye
a thunder’s fist
……a sleepy mist
~ a lover bent
……a narrow gate,
a body bound
……annihilate

a twist of blue
……a fleck of night
an angled blade
……a window’s shade
a sensation sought
……a touch of grace
a glint of love
……a tombstone face
an equinox
……a vernal light
a carnal god
……a dead façade
~ a lover bent
……a narrow gate
a body bound
……annihilate
Oh, body bound, light exhumes madness, annihilation
…descends
then obscures, the smoke from dead bone, spits and flutters
…the wind will do that
there is rot in the air, threads of sick, tendrils, sharp memory wrap and choke
(will the wind do that?)
then piercing deep, take root in bores and chambers, firing pin caress

striking…I pray
vernal light, take me away ~
