I trail my shadow as I walk down the narrowing hallway. There is nothing on the walls past where the light behind me reaches. I think there is something here, but my perceptions are deceiving. My pulse is echoing in my skull and vibrating all of my bones. In this darkness, I am alone and I can finally sit and think.
Tranquility starts contracting as the walls that surround me keep narrowing. Under the feet of my racing mind The carpet crumples and folds upon itself.
