Like Jesus,
A comfort in uncertainty.
Linus's security blanket,
Charles Brown's soulful melody.

But life's like False River's currents,
Unpredictable and strong.
Raindrops fall on my head,
Reminding me to trust.

I'm stuck in quicksand's grip,
Dusty mouth, familiar faces fade.
Naval boots march in,
Emergency lights flashing bright.

In the chaos, I search for solace,
Ragin' seesaw.
Yet, I'm not accepting grace,
Just trying to stay afloat.

Somewhere along the way,
Shattering aloud,
And I'm left feeling like a ******,
Selling out to circumstance."
