I am guilty
Guilty by association
And it seems to be
That this prayer may be my last

I am Overseas
Surrounded by people that don't know me
They hide their face
But I'm victim by my craft

He took the cross
I'll take the blade
I'll pay the cost
Like the one he paid
And you can tell my family
That I've gone to be with Him
I don't live by the sword
But I can't say the same for them

They are demanding
That I deny his name
Or I'll never hear
My child say my own

But I see you standing
Behind the swords and warriors
And you're telling me
My son it's time to come home

So I take a deep breath
And praise you one more time
It's a quick pain and there's nothing left
In the place where nobody cries

He took the cross
I'll take the blade
I'll pay the cost
Like the one he paid
And you can tell my family
That I've gone to be with Him
I don't live by the sword
But I can't say the same for them
