Mother
I wish I could forget those words
you said on the telephone
You hurt me with your tone
why do you make me feel so alone
I just wanted to show my mind
But I, to you, appear blind
I wanted to hide my frustration
To keep my interpretations
Trying to say the right thing
May not be the best way to sing
You try and hide my tears
All you bring is fears
My madness is on a new wave
That I used to refuse to crave
You cannot even hide your lies
You'll even tell me twice
Why can't our love be forever more
All this hurts me to the core
We have the world between us
All we can do is fuss
I've tried to give you my heart
the most important part
you give me your sigh
and I am left to cry
