The devil
Some say he has leather wings
Hands adorned with diamond rings
Horns
Claws
Red
But they're all wrong
The devil wears baggy jeans
Big hoodies
And a gold chain
The devil wears pink dresses
Dangling earrings
And friendship bracelets
The devil wears your hope
It’s hair the color of your misery
It’s skin the shades of dreams and nightmares
It’s nails the color of your veins
The devil is in everyone
The well dressed gentleman
The pearl wearing housewife
The struggling student
There is no escaping the devil
Because there’s more then one
At every turn
There is only one to turn towards
Let him hold you and shield you
From the devils in the night
The monsters in the day
And yourself when you close your eyes
