The End we're all waiting for             -John J Duran

Shall i stoically tell you of the End of mankind?
Ranting, raving, mass-chaos spreading-how utterly divine.
Riots in the streets, and society's doom sealed and signed.

It wasnt really bound to happen though it most certainly will,
Humans forgot ethics, rights, and refused morality dutifully instilled.
No wonder such ignorance leads to a society perpetually unfulfilled

Arguing and struggling-forever opposed in biased and bigoted hate.
Ignorance is no excuse, perhaps this ignominious end was our natural fate?
We'd rather rend, decimate and destroy others than ever strive to build or create.

What use are common freedoms, when the end is so nearly nigh?
This ship of human fools is long off-course, who can really deny?
No savior will ever come, on no God can we ever rely.

Our doom will not be fast, but excruciatingly slow.
And the suffering we've inflicted upon the innocent will only grow.
The End will be our very own punishment, for all the hatred we have sown.
