Unloveable

by I-Earth

I am excited to let you know Each time I grow, each time I glow. I quit the smoke, the haze, and the lies, Hoping you'd see me with softer eyes. I lace my shoes, I run through pain, I chase the sun, I fight the rain. I work all day till my fingers bleed, Driven by more than want or need. It’s love—it’s you—I’m reaching for, Each change I make, I love you more. But still, your heart stays far away… And mine just hopes you'll look my way. One day, maybe, you’ll finally see The better man I tried to be Not for the world, but just for you, For love I wish you somehow knew.
