You are the sun — you heal, you burn,
A steady light for which I yearn.
You kiss the cracks upon my skin,
Then scorch the soul you warmed within.

You found me cold, a fading trace,
And painted fire across my face.
With every glance, a garden grew,
But nothing blooms untouched by you.

I rose beneath your blinding gaze,
Half in a dream, half set ablaze.
You gave me hope, then took your turn—
A twist of fate I couldn’t learn.

You made me whole, then came undone,
Just like the dusk outlasts the sun.
And still I chase your every flame,
Though every touch forgets my name.

The closer I get, the more I lose,
Yet still, it’s you I always choose.
No shelter calms this wild ache—
The love we make, the lives we break.

I breathe you in and never see
The line between your light and me.
You are the sun — you rise, you turn,
You give me life.
You heal.
You burn
