We used to speak in whispers,
our tones soft and low;
Trading pieces of ourselves we'd never show.
Laughter!
Echoing in rooms we made,
Now silence lives where trust had swayed.

You held my heart like letters...
Never sent;
Unread confessions, each one we...
meant.
The corners of your smile;
Now, just a map to places love has died.

We both carry tales we never told aloud,
Our deepest truths;
Unwrapped and unallowed.
Yet here we stand...
As if we never met,
Two ghosts in skin, pretending to forget.

No battle, no goodbye, just fading light.
A quiet vanishing into the...
night.
But still, it haunts, the sharpest kind of theft:
You're just a stranger…
With all of me, you left.
