May 6
You can blaze like fire, maybe a shooting star,
You can slash through the dark and charge afar.
You can smash the chains, you can leap the walls,
No one can stop your future's call.
No rope can bind you, no cage can hold,
You will crush the rock, you can break the mold.
Your heart ignites, your spirit flies,
You can color the sky where shadows die.
But when the storm seems to begin to fade,
A soft hand cuts through the shade.
They are not one to control, they don't demand,
Yet they stand like trees on your land.
You need no lead, your spark's alive,
But the soft hand warm hold helps you thrive.
Like roots that split the biggest stone apart,
They've got your back, they hold your heart.
