Stuck in traffic,
Mind so static
Maybe a little bit ecstatic.
I gasp for an ounce of breath
But the tight windows will not let me
Have that for myself.

I'm too excited that I might get to see your face
Just one more time, so I cannot let it be a blurred memory.
But these airtight windows will not let me
Have that for myself.

Looking through these glass panes
I see faces so familiar to to your gaze.
I want to reach out and touch them
Only to be reminded
That you are so far away from me
And I'm reminded
These airtight windows will.mot let me
Have that to myself.

Lights flicker,
Voices bicker
I cannot open these windows,
For I'm afraid
This imagination just might vanish.
I cannot let that happen to myself.
