(Every detail was designed with precision and love)
Lord God Jesus served the least
(Through the gospels we witness Jesus serving all kinds of sinners and he is still serving us)
Asked for Colt to be released
(Refers to Palm Sunday. The young donkey was freed for divine purpose. An unlikely lowly being was given the place of honour by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is believed that the donkey had wished to carry the burden of the cross and turned his head away at seeing Jesus’ crucifixion, because he was grief stricken. As a reward for the young donkey’s loyalty and love, the image of the cross got imprinted on the donkey’s back and ever since, the same breed of donkey bears the mark of the cross)

(Refers to Maundy Thursday. Look up The Last Supper which was a Passover Meal.
Bread = Body of Christ, Yeast = Sin.
In other words, God offers up his body that is pure and without sin. This is why unleavened bread is consecrated during Mass)

(Refers to Good Friday. Jesus suffered, died and was dead for 3 days & 3 nights. The death went as far as Jesus being descended into hell. Look up the ‘Stations of the Cross’ and ‘Scriptural Way of the Cross’ for details of what happened immediately prior)

(Within Christianity, East is symbolic in more ways than one. East being the symbol of Christ is probably the most significant)

(We are all fallen people and even-though we are called to walk the straight path and are expected to adhere to the laws, we are still fallen; even when we try our best; this is because sin entered us through Adam and Eve. Only the sacrifice of the spotless lamb of God (Jesus) can redeem us from the grips of Satan, wash away our sins and make us new again)
That’s why today we feast
(God has gone to extreme lengths to save us. It’s the feast of all feasts because Easter is witness to God’s unconditional agape love for mankind)

(Priests lead the celebration. The ones who have made God their vocation and who are forever reminding us of the world’s greatest Hero)
Easter was born in East!
(Christians believe that Jesus is God, therefore Jesus always existed. It’s irrelevant how the word ‘Easter’ came about. When it boils down to it, East is in the name and East is the place where it all happened. East in Easter is not a coincidence but the foreshadowing of Jesus’ life, like many historic events that took place during the BC period)
A great love story captivates hearts, minds and souls but when one discovers the greatest love story ever told one will not be able to get enough of it!!! ☺️
This is why the events highlighted during Holy Week and its Peak are the most discussed, researched, studied, analysed, tested and reflected upon. Salvation History is a marvellous marvel!
