This heart, a cave, echoes your name,
each beat a cry for your absent fire.
I ache for you all over, my deepest love.
This longing is woven through our souls' desires. Your tender voice, like honey, is so sweet to hear, yet haunts the corners and shadows when you are not near.
I long to hear it; my hands feel
the air encouraging me to take hold of what I long to keep.
Your touch grazes my skin,
soft as a sigh, like a phantom when we are apart, then it is cruelly gone.
I reach through the dark where my dreams begin.
But grasp the stars that shine from your eyes, so bright and warm.
My deepest love, in your absence this ache won't cease,
it carves your shape in every breath I breathe.
I long deeply for youβ€”you're my heart's releaseβ€”
to cradle your warmth, and to bask in the breath of our deepest, longing kiss with such peace.
