A step through an open gate
Sharp intake
A crunch of frost

Deep sigh
A billow of hot air
clouds my vision in the dark

A step onwards
Branches above, outstretched
Colossal structures
A cathedral of quiet reverence

Heart thudding
Eyes brighten
Blood coursing
Feet trudging
Adrenaline sparks my sensations

Dissonant song
thunders like a storm
Syncopated calls surprise

Lightening
