Desperate kisses cling to good
But what's left is less than me
'I don't love you's' fill the wood
And creep through the trees

The woods can see me clearly
Through shade and flowy moss
As I look into those black glass eyes
Realizing our love is now just loss

Grief strikes slowly
and then faster as tears fall
We really can't have everything
Or anything at all

Pain strikes the heart of me
And everybody sees
We can walk endlessly together
But I can't hide in loveless trees
