no matter what
don't let the fire die
it burns inside your chest
let it colour your eyes
sometimes your fingers stop
your eyes fixate on nothing in particular
you freeze
like the cold outside
almost like you're waiting
for the sun to come save you

enough waiting

no matter what
don't let the fire die
no matter how many times
you turn out to be a loser
no matter how many times
you eat something that turns your day
into nothing but a big mistake
no matter what
don't let the fire subside

nothing's ever that serious

but I'll tell you something that is

you use the screens to find relief
from the arbitrary life you lead
you're escaping
from this life you've paved
with all your bad habits
the ones you pretend
aren't that serious

be merciless
like the fire
don't lose your vigor yet
you're only twenty five
be quick
to correct your errors
pull yourself out of this
inertia

it's easy.
