When you feel safe for a moment
you cracked open the door and
it dashes out
And it won’t come back, even if you call for it.

So you’re left thinking where did she go?  Why did she leave me? But then

Joy returns
tempted by the thought of warm food and a warm bed

“you’re here!” You shout; warmly as you can

But

Joy cannot be kept in a strangle hold-

Joy escapes again
