Torn between two worlds
The old and the new
Obligation on one side
Or experience anew
To leave is to betray
To stay is to miss out
Which is worth more
And which will you go without
But alas there’s a change
A capsize that’s righted
The choice is a myth
That the two are not united
To travel and grow
Yet come home the same
For years we’ve been trusting
In a dichotomy disproven
That to leave is to lose
And to stay is to dwindle
But both are available
To those that want them
Abroad and alone
Or at home and ungrown
Neither is possible
When you leave with those you know
