You were but a bush
Furrow land
The rock face caught my eye

Immediate giving you a family name
Was the only agenda
We are family now

With heavy mechanical drills
Compressor hydraulics
We cut up a face in 2023

The stream still flows
My fountain pen writes
The lake overflows

Hello poetry still patiently
Takes in my pain
My joys too

Until the day
The Mason cuts the rock face
For my shrouded lifeless being

To be housed forever
Until the end of time
My breath no more shall be

The rock face one more life wealthier
One being
One name

Oh ye plant my favorite palms
Where these feet once energetically trod
For roots, flesh & soul shall live in perfect harmony.
