No matter the height of one’s love or fame
There is but one happy end
What lies ahead is in the unknown
The trap doors that lay in wait in the dark

But in the end
When the finality of one’s last breath has drawn
The last tally can be taken
And only the total remains

And if fortune upon you smiled
If the darkness only weighed in summer
And the sun shone surely more
Then I hope a smile upon you breaks

Frozen in mortality
