Beware of the man who lies awake,
The man who quietly observes.
Secretly stalks and takes claim of breaths,
His steps like feathers fluttering to the earth.

Beware of the woman who lies awake,
The woman who clutches onto resentment.
Anger is her daily breadβ€”
Her blade strikes deeper than her words.

Beware of the child who lies awake,
Who takes with greed, then flees away.
Where sin and schemes will be their guide,
A path they'll tread with no dismay.

Beware the dangers that lurk at night,
For shadows stir when night takes hold.
They spread their wings, take silent flight,
And leave behind a tale untold.
