A silent witness—
I do not ask
I do not offer
I do not even question—
all I can do is listen.

My heart resting
still as quiet rain.

Some griefs
are meant to echo
to fill the room without reply.

I do not turn away.
I do not quiet the storm.
I hold space
only a presence—

This is how I honor you—
not with words,
but with a silence
that lets yours
be heard.
