If lonely was a person
It would hold my hand
As I briskly walk through each aching day
Waiting for the next and the next
As if tomorrow's were worth the wait.

If lonely was a person
It would tell me, hush!
Hush, because tomorrow's are worth the wait
Tomorrow's are in your faith
Of what you anticipate.

If lonely was a person
It would no longer stick around and wait
No, for lonely would unmask
The beauty of within
Lonely,  yes you
Tomorrow I shall meet you
And no longer be lonely, my dear.
