Familiar Friend
A business call,
a meeting planned,
a note half-written,
pen in hand.
Caught up in urgencies
I find
the worthier
has slipped my mind.
Days flee away!
Tasks without end,
have distanced my
familiar friend.
Now sitting here
and missing you,
I wonder what
I need to do,
to return
camaraderie.
Familiar friend,
remember me?
