Do you care...

"Don't heed the whispers of others' sway,

Their words can pierce, but don't let them stay.

If you don't listen, their sting won't remain,

And you'll be free from the weight of their pain.

You used to don your best, despite feeling blue,

And that shows you care, though you may not renew.

The world's ideals are flawed, incomplete and worn,

But confidence and self-knowledge will keep you warm.

So let not others' opinions dictate your way,

Stay true to yourself, come what may.

Recognize your strength, and let your spirit soar,

And you'll emerge victorious, forever more."
