And just like that,
she lost her innocence
She tried calling it back but
It was long gone, an unfortunate fact.

With a hopeless stare,
it dwindled away.

Carrying the essence of a helium filled balloon,
floating with ease as it went further distantly.

It just slipped right through her fingers.
One second late before it lingered.

Her innocence departed,
Without notice, to never again be acquainted,
her being was tainted.
still needs some work
