In daily rush, we pass the fleeting joys,
The sunrise painted gold upon the stream,
A child’s soft laughter, nature's sweet employs,
Yet we, absorbed, may lose the gentle dream.
The beauty dwells in moments small and bright,
In whispered winds, where blossoms sway and dance,
But oft we miss these gifts of pure delight,
Entranced by shadows, caught in life’s expanse.
Take heed, dear heart, in stillness value worth,
For every breath encased in fleeting time,
In gratitude, find beauty’s truest birth,
And seize each moment as a cherished rhyme.
Let not this life, though bright, be brushed aside;
Embrace its grace, let love within us bide.
"A Life Beautiful, Yet Uncherished" evokes a poignant sentiment about the contrast between the inherent value of life and the tendency to overlook or take it for granted. It captures the essence of existence filled with wonder, joy, and potential that often goes unnoticed amid the mundane routines and challenges of everyday life. Just this morning I was driving to work thinking about all my troubles ... barely seeing the road in front of me for all my woe. A passing train honked and jolted me out of my reverie. I noticed a car at the stop sign turn left onto the highway. He had just beat that train. How lucky!! It brought a genuine smile to my face to see the good fortune of another for goodness knows I know how it feels to be so lucky to not have to wait for a train or light or other such hinderance. I then looked around to find the sky in all sorts of shades of gray and blue with swatches of pink throughout. It was a little stormy, a little dark, but very beautiful. JOY in small things. Embrace the life around you with grace and joy.
